Title: Engineering and Computational Methods for Precision Robot Control in Science, Technology and Medicine

Abstract: Controlling industrial robots is a fundamental component of control engineering which involves different engineering fields of studies including embedded system design, planning industrial robot movement, and creating interface to communicate with human. The economic impact of industrial robots is substantial. Advanced precision control of industrial robots can lead to huge savings in costs in manufacturing, and healthcare by enhancing productivity and lowering labor costs. In the fields of natural sciences and medicine, robotics and control systems are being utilized more frequently. For instance, robots play a significant role in performing medical surgeries, automating laboratory tasks, and monitoring environmental conditions, where precise control is essential. Different metrological equipment is used for precision control of industrial robots. The metrological equipment used include but are not limited to interferometers, laser trackers, and photogrammetry systems which are utilized to provide precision feedback from the industrial robot to control it more precisely. The ISO standard, ISO 9283 provides performance evaluation for industrial robots which would be further discussed.
