Title: A numerical simulation to a two-phase Stefan problem including variable thermo-physical property

Abstract: Here, a two-phase Stefan problem is considered that involves a nonlinear parabolic PDE in a moving domain. This model presents a melting process which involves a temperature-dependent thermo-physical property. In this problem, the temperature distribution in both the phases and position of the moving interface are simulated by a numerical approach which is based on the front-fixing finite-difference method. The consistency and stability of the technique are also analyzed theoretically. For a particular case, the accuracy of the solution is shown by the comparison of the analytical solution and the obtained numerical solution. It is observed that the obtained solution is sufficiently accurate to study the Stefan problems. Also, the variations the temperature profile in the domain and the phase change process with respect to the parameters are analyzed.
